You quickly run along the path and try to get as distant from the manical hearkenings. You run, and run only concentrating on your escape. Fear grasps you tightly as your breath falls heavy and you feel weary. You can run no more. Beads of your sweat soak the dusty dirt-ridden path. You inhale the fresh air around you and release a deep breath. You have trekked long from the sounds. You feel safe to press on with your journey.
After a short walk the trees clear and the great sight of the sky blooms around you. You have left the forest now. The land is very open with fields as far as the eye can see. Well your eye at least. These look like farmlands but you don't see any livestock around. It is only a half a week or so from Meristead.
After many long hours, you make it to the crossroads, where a short signpost is sinking into the soft earth.

Meristead is not too far now. Also there is another sign written in rather crude hand writing... 'Farm'. You find this slightly odd and are quite intrigued and confused at the same time. Also you could always head back towards Cottle Borough and hope that the knights have left there now... but everytime you turn your head back in that direction a great feeling of urgency overcomes you and your imagination is filled with pure horror, making you feel very alone. Right now you feel you must press on.
