The Uplink World
Rain drops beat down enless against the maze of tall concrete buildings. A large neon sign atop a nearby building illimunted the the alley in sickly orange light. A set of loud speakers attached to the sign intermidly barked out endless Neo Gov slogans.
"Unity brings order, Independence brings suffering."
There where signs like it all over town and for that matter in every town. They help spread Neo Gov propaganda as well providing so called important public service messages.
*cough* *cough* The cold wet rain was begin to take it total and there was no chance of finding a dry spot here in the alley. The rain, this downpour had been falling continuly for a almost most now. Ever since the prototype power plant on the edge of town had expolded. Neo Gov had reported it as terroist attack by seperatists, wether it was true or not didn't really matter. All people cared about these days was when the storm would finaly break, as they tried in to remeber what it felt like to have the warm sun beat down upon them.
*cough* *cough*
There was an old fire door one side of the alley its lock had long since become rusted and broken. It looked risky but at least it would be dry in there, but one thing was sure I had to keep moving or this storm would be least of my worries.
