Faridell
A few moments of tense silence follows, and then you can finally breathe with relief as the weapon is retreated from your neck. You stand full, and turn around.
Behind you lurks a different sight than you expected. Expecting the purple-robed woman that you saw earlier, you weren't prepared to turn and face a tall, bald, scarred brute of a woman, dressed in slightly-scratched scale mail armor that is, curiously, drenched in a large amount of blood... even though she herself looks rather well-off, health-wise. More than you, at least, as you weren't prepared for that fight and if the exertion and terror weren't enough to make you panic, the shock of the quick encounter certainly would.
"Good enough. I... thank you," she says, though it's obvious she's reluctant to do so. Behind her large frame, you spot a tatter of purple - and see that it's the purple-robed girl, hunched over and grasping a tree for support. She's facing away from you, but she looks hurt, or exhausted. A faint blue radiance, you see, is slowly dissipating from her eyes and hands...
The larger woman in front of you clears her throat. "You may not know this, but it was my own life you saved. I was rendered... incapacitated... by the troll's blows as I attempted to protect my ward." She grins; obviously not an action familiar to her. "She, however, is not used to combat. Were it not for you, she might not have survived long enough to heal me."
You didn't expect an explanation from this burly woman, let alone such a detailed one. You aren't quite sure what to make of it, or how to respond.
