The Island of Destiny

You begin to walk around the beach, looking for anything suspicious in the sand. After a few minutes all that you've managed to find are a few stupid shells. You are frustrated and are about to go back when you notice it. A crumpled up piece of paper buried in the sand. You can only see the corner of it.

Quickly you rush over to it and dig it out, anxious to see what it says.
You unfold it and read: "Help me. You must find me and rescue me from them. I am in the-"

The rest of the note has been ripped out. Who is this message from? Should you find this person or is it a trap? And where should you go to look?
