Paco Valdez
You start walking towards your horse. You don't plan on sticking around with a strong potential for death at the hands of The Vigilantes. You're certain they'll be looking for you the moment they find out. Valdez will no doubt offer a reward for your head, if not then a raise in status among the gang rankings. If only women didn't find you irresistable... Ah well, but it's a curse with a positive side to be sure. It's a shame the negative side is to such an extreme extent.
You get to the stables and find your horse. She's deep brown in color with a bit of white near her nose and under her belly. She's been loyal to you for damn near two years. She is excited to see you. You pat her side and untie the rope which holds her stationary. You mount her and guide her out of the stable.
"We're going on a little journey, Betty." You tell your steed. You named her Betty after a girl you were sweet on as a child. She died in a fire when you were thirteen. You've had an empty feeling in your stomach ever since.
You ride out of town at a leisurely pace, no need to bring attention to yourself. Once you are a little ways out of town you kick up the pace and start galloping towards Coyote Rock.
It's a bit of a journey to Coyote Rock, near to an hour ride. When you get there you share some of your half-full water-skin that was in the saddle bags with Betty. All you can do now is wait, right?
You lean your back against the base of the rock. It's a giant sandstone in the middle of desert that gets it's name from the pack of coyote that frequent the area, and have apparantley frequented the rock for many years. It's not night yet, so you don't have ot fear thier presance for a few hours.
After much waiting, night starts to fall. You consider starting a fire to keep the coyote away and to provide warmth against the cold desert night. But you're not sure if that's wise. If the Vigilantes are looking for you, nothing will give them a more clear sign of your where-abouts as a fire.
Are you making the fire or freezing tonight?
