You work at it for an hour or so, getting dead wood, brush, occasional grasses, and a tumble weed. You set it up and pull out your flint, striking it repeatedly until the sparks finally catch.

You sit back and stare into the flames. It reminds you of Betty (the girl you knew, not the horse). You miss her. The two of you were great friends and that friendship grew to love. You've never been the same since the fire. It's like that fire burned up the good side of you along with her.

You ponder this for a while, delving deep into your repressed feelings while sipping occasionally on your whiskey flask. Sometimes you wonder what would have happened if that fire never happened. Would the two of you be together? Would you have turned criminal? Sadly there's no way to know. There aren't any time machines to take you back.

After a long while you hear the fall of horse hooves headed your way. Your paranoia leads you to immediately assume that it's the Vigilantes coming for you. Your rational side tells you that it's just Gus and Annie finally arriving.

But which is it? If it's the Vigilantes, you don't want to stick around to find out. But if it's your friends...

Are you sticking around or running and hiding?
