You also have a pouch containing 5 gold coins.

Magic Guide
The six spells in the spell list are the spells you can cast freely, or your base magic. Other magic spells can also become available to you that are found within scrolls, or scroll magic, that may contain different spells from your base magic (if you're lucky enough to find them!). After you read a scroll you cannot read it again.

You also begin your adventure with a total of 6 mana points. Every time you cast a base magic spell, deduct 1 mana point from your total. A scroll magic spell may require more mana (which will be specified). If you have 0 mana points, you cannot cast any spells and will have to choose an alternative action. Mana points can be regained throughout your adventure, through either rest or by drinking a magic potion. Resting or drinking a magic potion restores 1 mana point. However, you cannot drink a magic potion just before or during a battle. Remember that your mana score can never exceed the initial score of 6 (except on rare occasions where an item gives a bonus).

It's a good idea to make a map as you progress through the adventure.
