The Ring of Time

You stop time and start for the closest banks you can find (which are about a mile away, but still take less than a physical second to get to). It strikes you as odd that the banks in Virginia are so close together on the same street, but nonetheless it makes them quite easy for a light-fingered time drifter such as yourself to turn a quick profit. Or at least it WOULD, were it not still 0623. "Darn it!" you say, glancing at your watch. You decide to take cover and unstop time to wait until the bank opens at 0900 to begin. Once it opens, you stroll casually in and give it the once-over.

With time stopped, it is your ally, but not always your friend. You find that unlike your fantasies, not ALL of the tellers have their cash drawers OPEN at once. In order to facilitate your crimes, you find yourself inconspicuous places to hide where no one is around or looking to see you appear out of (or vanish into, for that matter) thin air. It becomes more of a hit and miss random event when your find their drawers open, but eventually you amass enough money (from the largest piles in the drawers, of course) to fairly impress any high school student - several thousand dollars.

You decide to materialize in your last hiding place just to enhance the reality of the small fortune that you now hold in your hands. You even feel a small amount of sympathy for the hapless tellers at the idea of their drawers being counted up short at the end of the day; but the charitable pangs are fleeting. It is then that from the main concourse of the bank (in whose bathroom stall you now sit) you overhear a great commotion. Wondering if it could be a result of your naughtiness, you crack open the bathroom door ever so slightly to take a peek. Relief and then annoyance hit the pit of your stomach: the bank is being robbed, by some guys that look like they know what they're doing. Ordinary people would hide out and wait for it to end, but you recall that you are no longer ordinary.

What will you do?
