.44 Magnum

Joe decided the hell with it, there will always be sunny days and I'm not getting any younger. "These old knees of mine could use the rest," Joe says tiredly to himself, the paperwork on the Devine case had kept him up all hours of the night. A short series of beeps and Joe has managed to unlock his new car with a fancy looking black key remote. After several attempts of holding this small black box up to the ignition the car springs to life. "Damned thing, days like this when I miss keys," Joe says to himself, on the constant grumblings of his wife Joe had finally giving in and purchased an environmentally savvy hybrid. A 'hippymobile' as he affectionately called the new car whenever his wife was in the room. The fact that Joe had never smoked marijuana in his life while his wife had and he knew his wife had was something that Joe never let go. While generally in jest Joe could never pass up a dig at his wife's less that angelic past. He did love her something awful though and the day he traded in his faithful wood paneled Buick Road-master for this little spaceship of a car was a prime example of that love. Turning left out of his driveway Joe heads down to work, getting ready for another day. Not five miles away from the police station Joe decides to stop for gas, as to not have to do it later. Fueling up his cars ridiculously small tank he idly wonders to himself when he will have the flying car that folds up into a briefcase. Joe as one of those children that watched The Jetsons growing up and believed that this was the future. Paying for his gas in the store Joe notices the Asian clerk is a little less friendly and a little more anxious than ever. Joe stops in here almost every day as it is directly on his way to and from work, he even knows the clerk by name. "You alright there, Lee?" The clerk simply smiles and says, "Yeah, long day Stone you know," nervously wiping sweat from his brow.
