The Galactic Adventures of Pierce Darkblade
You keep firing your dual laser pistols at the guards in cover, below your position. Most of your shots come from blind firing due to the lack of cover on the roof. Sizzling explosions are tearing apart all barricades, but you continue to fire, giving the city guards no chance to escape their positions.
As the battle lingers on you begin to hear a massive rumbling, like tanks moving in from a distance. It becomes louder, to a point where almost nothing else can be heard. Looking over at your Freevian comrades across the street on another rooftoop, you see them cease fire, look over the far side of their building then suddenly scramble in a mad panic inside the building, presumably heading down the stairs to exit. They never make it. Half a minute goes by before the building is suddenly smashed to pieces and crumbles to the ground in a giant dust pile that spreads across the battlefield. Through the dust you make out the silhouette of a massive black vehicle covered in concrete rubble.
"What is that?!" You shout to one of the Freevians. One of them replies,
"It's a Plow Cruiser! We need to get out of here now! It can take out whole buildings!"
As the dust settles you see the vehicle more clearly. It is basically a giant mechanized tank with a massive plow in front. It seems to be flashing red hot, with steam emanating from the plow. This must be what they use to clear snow and create roads to other cities. The treads on the vehicle are absolutley massive, nothing could really stand in its way. Thing is, YOU'RE standing in its way.
The plow cruiser is heading straight for the building you are currently on top of. You calculate you have 20 seconds to do something before the building is toppled.
Quick thinking gives you only two options. First, to jump off the 5 story building into the streets below, plummeting to your death unless you hit a large snow pile that is near the building. Second option is to jump off the building, directly onto the plow cruiser, attempt to find a way inside the vehicle and disable it.
"Well Captain, what are your orders?!" An anxious Freevian inquiries.
