The Galactic Adventures of Pierce Darkblade
"Everyone follow me! Into the snow pile!" You shout as you run towards the east edge of the roof and leap, attempting to land into the snow pile.
You hit hard into the tighlty packed snow pile, going shoulder first, half your body sinking underneath the snow. You hear multiple landing around you, as your fellow comrades have leapt as well. As you pull your upper torso out of the snow you hear a massive crash and rumble as the plow cruiser slams into the building you previously occupied. You and your team quickly scramble out of the snow pile into the street as the building crumbles down.
Dark dust envelopes you, obscuring your vision. Orange blasts from tri-shot rifles quickly begin blazing around you. You cannot see your advesaries but realize where they are shooting from because of their laser beams. You blast into the dust cloud in each direction the tri shot lasers came from. Moments later the dust clears and you see you have shot two guards dead.
Running and gunning with your team you rush for cover behind the wall of a nearby building. You see other plow cruisers coming through the streets like mammoths, running over Freevians like rats, yet you notice their attention is no longer on the council attackers. About six of these behemoths continue past the main battle zone and are heading in the direction of the commune, where the prime bot is being guarded. There is no way they could know about the prime bot so quickly you think.
Your communicator beeps, its Baldee.
"Captain Darkblade! We have progressed deep into the council chamber, most are dead, but my team has been cut off! We are trapped in the spa fountains and the guards are closing in on our position! Help us Captain, please!"
Baldee has been the most vocal Freevian throughout this entire event. He is a perfect revolutionary and fighter of the people. If he dies, this uprising for freedom may die with him you think. But can you really allow the prime bot to be destroyed? Effectivley incapacitating all of the shovel bots? Perhaps they weren't heading to the commune, just in that direction. Perhaps Baldee won't be killed by the approaching attackers. Perhaps...you should make a choice.
