The Island of Destiny
The wind chills your spine as you stand in the middle of the valley, shivering. Mountains surround you and give you an even greater sense of cold. You don't like the idea of what could possibly be hiding up there. But then something, a dark form, catches your attention a little ways off into the valley and your heart quickens as you quickly walk to see what it is. Nearing closer you can hardly believe your eyes: it's a tent!
Cautiously you approach but it is completely dark and taking a deep breath, you hastily jerk one of the tent flaps aside. There's nobody inside there at all! You scan around the quickly darkening plain and it doesn't seem as if anyone's around here at all. Then, looking down at your feet, a rock drops into the pit of your stomach.
There lies another note.
Your hand trembling a bit, you bend down and pick up the dirty scrap of paper. It reads: "This is for you. Stay warm."
You can barely believe this note is real. So this tent is for you then? Does that mean that your mysterious note-writer is somewhere nearby and may even appear if you decide to stay in the tent? On the other hand, these notes give you a very bad feeling inside. Something tells you that there could very well be some sort of trap for you to walk into.
The tent does look comfortable, it even has a sleeping bag and pillow waiting inside of it. But is it worth the risk to stay in it?
