You decide to go on and stay with the poor woman, not only may she be a clue in your research, but in your heart you feel that if this was your own family you would want someone to be with her too. You take some photo's before noticing the man return with a policeman.

The policeman introduces himself as Constable John Neil. From the light of his lantern, you all could see that blood was oozing from her throat which had been slashed from ear to ear. Her eyes were wide open and staring. Even though her hands and wrists were cold, Neil felt warmth in her arms. Soon Dr. Rees Llewellyn arrived on the scene and examined the woman, pronouncing her dead no longer than a half-hours time.

You take a couple of photos while backed into the shadows. You hear the policeman and the doctor trying to discover identity of the body but finding none. You know from the history database onboard the machine she will later be identified as Mary Ann "Polly" Nichols, age 42.

The murderer of Polly Nichols left nothing behind in the way of witnesses, weapon or any other type of clue. None of the residents nearby heard any kind of disturbance nor did any of the workmen in the area notice anything unusual.

Even though Polly had been found very shortly after her death, no vehicle or person was seen escaping the scene of the crime.
