Time Traveller

The doors slides open to the time machine. You set your watch to the current time displayed on the timing gauge. It's 4am Friday morning, Aug. 31, 1888 and the current location gauge show's a location of what appears to be Buck's Row. You sit up out of the time machine and slide it over to a dark corner that seems has been overlooked and will be during your research here. You walk down the alley which appeares to you to be dark and deserted. It feels chilly and damp, not unusual for London even in the summer, especially before dawn.

You look up ahead and see someone crouched down over what looks to be someone lying on the ground at the entrance to some sort of stable yard. As you approach the two, you only wonder if this could possibly start out to be the beginning link to your research.

As you walk closer, you see a woman lying on her back, her skirts lifted almost to her waist. The man crouched down turns and sees you approaching, "Come and look over here," he asks of you, assuming that the woman was either drunk or the victim of an assault. You are most happy that the overseer has had you dressed this time to fit in. As you both try to help her in the darkened street, neither of you notice the awful wounds that had nearly decapitated her.

You help fix her skirt for modesty's sake as the other gentleman leaves looking for a policeman.
