Broken

You walk to your car, get in and shut the door. Once inside you rip the parcel open. Inside it are a smaller envelope, a page of paper, a small key and two yellow notes. You open the envelope and find ten grand in a neat stack of one hundreds, which you put aside on the front passengers seat. Also inside are several colour pictures depicting a rough man in his late fifties with coarse, swept back grey hair. In most pictures, he's wearing large ray bans, but from a black and white mug shot you notice he has small, caved in eyes. Heck, he looks like he's given up already.

The page of paper contains information about your mark, apparently written with an old typewriter. The ink is messy.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name:
Henry Nichaski. Called "Hank" by his few accessaries.

Age:
58

Height:
5 foot 8 eight. Hunches.

Weight:
Around 190

Appearance:
Messy. Sparse, grey hair. Brown eyes. Wears sunglasses no matter if day or night, inside our outdoors. Acne scars.

Info:
Boss of small time gang involved in various forms of swindling and smuggling. His group consists of around ten male individuals. He and his men are not especially dangerous. Smokes cigars. Likes women.

Additional notes:
Nichaski sent some of his men looking for a small, maroon blue briefcase containing materials of interest to your employer(s). It is also possible that he already possesses the briefcase. Remember: it is of EXTREME importance that the briefcase does not end up in his or any of his men's hands. Investigate if he has already acquired it or ANY of its contents. If not, attempt to gain information about its whereabouts. Should you come in contact with the briefcase, you must take it with you and protect it until you can hand it over to your contact(s) upon payment. In this case, there will be a 10000 US$ bonus to be handed immediately in transaction with the briefcase. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN THE BRIEFCASE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Should the briefcase be damaged and rendered unusable, you still have the obligation to carry and protect its contents.

A bonus. You like that. One of the two yellow notes contains data about the equipment Don told you about. It's written by hand:

MAHLER 125TH STATION
SAFETY DEPOSIT 94
CONTAINS UNASSEMBLED
7.62x51mm CALIBER
SEMI-AUTO RIFLE
OPTICS, SUPPRESSOR
SHELL CATCHER,
TWO 10 ROUND CLIPS AND
20 ROUNDS OF TREATED
SUBSONIC HOLLOW POINT
AMMUNITION INCLUDED

The small key must be for the safety deposit. The other note seems to have information on the location of your target. It's also handwritten.

NICHASKI WILL BE PRESENT
FROM AROUND 9 PM TONIGHT
AT THE BOULANGER BAR
LOCATED AT HENRI STREET 5
HE WILL BE TALKING TO A
TALL BLONDE WOMAN

It seems like they've put a lot of effort on this one. Fifty thousand bucks is a lot for a small league crook. Whatever is inside that briefcase must be exceptionally important for the bosses. Being a nosy bastard has always been one of your flaws, and all this enigmatic behaviour only makes it worse.

You're paid to do your work, not to question. It's not your business, be a professional.

Seems like they've prepared a rifle for you. Suits you fine. However, you don't like working with guns you haven't acquired and prepared yourself. A close quarters approach might be possible, as your target is apparently not going to be surrounded by bodyguards. A rifle is impractical for such a job. You could go and get more suitable equipment from one of your weapon caches.
