The Island of Destiny

You walk close beside the mysterious vampire girl as she leads you through the dark woods. You have never felt worse in your entire life and you have no idea what's going to happen to you.

After twenty minutes of walking, the girl pauses before a few bushes and explains "Through here is my village. Do not be afraid, my people will happily accept you as one of our own."

"..If you play your cards right." she adds, sending a shiver down your spine. The girl then pushes past the bushes and you do the same. The next second, you are looking at a very lively, yet eerie village. It reminds you of an old 17th century village, except with a definite gothic vibe. There is one main road and both sides are layered with old buildings made from brick, stone, and wood. You see smoke coming from most of the buildings, proving that there are others living here.

The road is also lined with torches, dimly giving the town light but spread out far enough so that the town also remains in a very cold darkness. You look and see that some of the larger buildings have large roofs with gargoyles perched on them, watching the town with their stone eyes.

You see a few people, or vampires wandering the streets but the road is mainly deserted. As the girl starts to lead you down the road, you notice that everyone is either wearing black or gray. The women have somewhat elegant dresses, while the men are dressed shabbier. You notice though that some of the wealthier men are wearing capes, giving them an appearance that would closely resemble Dracula.

The girl then takes your hand and stops you in front of a large house, almost a mansion. There is a small set of stone steps which lead up to a large set of doors.

She points up there and says "That is where our Lady Varia lives. If you want to stay here with us, you'll need to go through her tests first."

You look into the girl's eyes and take a risk by remarking "And what if I don't want to stay here?"

The girl then smiles revealing her very pointy teeth. "Then you're our prey," she says simply.
