The Ninja Epidemic

You go left down the dirt road and keep running. As the trees and underbrush become thicker around the road, you slow down to a walk, feeling that it's probably safe now to stop running. You keep walking until you see a footpath on your right. You follow it for a while and, keeping an eye out for trouble, sit down on a stump in a small clearing in the underbrush.

It's time to gather your thoughts. Just what is going on? You're being chased by ninjas? It's too incredible to believe. While you are thinking, you start to suspect something strange about the whole situation. How did the ninjas find you? If there had been more ninjas with the one that you and your friends killed at the time that it happened, why didn't they kill you that night instead of waiting until now? The ninja from last night must have been alone. The only way they could have found you then is by following tracks left by Rick's car - but then they would have only found Rick's house. How did they find the rest of your group?

Night is falling now. You can't stay where you are for long, but it's not a good idea to go home. Plus, you want to find out what's going on. Where should you go?
