"We can't just keep runnin' forever," You tell Emmit. "I say we wait here, rest up for a bit, and make a stand when they catch up."

"It's your call, boss." He says to you, dismounting. "At least there's some damn shade here."

After tying your horses up in the abandoned stable, the two of find the most strategic positions for which to make your moves. And then you wait.

Hours pass and no one comes. The two of you wait on, your body reveling in the much needed rest it was getting. You would have the advantage there at least, the rest.

Emmit whistles and points over the wall. You peek over to see five men on horseback approaching. You look to Emmit and nod, the two of you ducking back down.

The plan is to wait for them to come into the town, and gun them down as they stand between the two of you.

They hooves are very loud, but approach slowly. Perhaps they will not be so ill rested after all?

You soon learn what took them so long. A short bald man is lead into the town by three dogs who sniff along the ground, tracking your scents.

You're not entirely sure how dogs smell. Will they continue to follow the paths of the horses to the stables or sniff you out behind the barrels on the side of the road.

Maybe you shouldn't just sit tight and wait idly by while the hounds track you down.
