Assault of the Sorcerer Kings
The Guardians
The Guardians is a secret organization of established heroes who work to maintain the natural balance of the planet without hindering sociatal progress. Not only is this in respect to nature VS technology, but also in regards to the delicate balance of good and evil.
Sasson Jorn, Fonte Tallman, and Sivus Malzum are three known members of this organization.
Sasson Jorn was an elf, born among a tribe of nomadic peace keepers known as the Tecatee. Sasson grew into a strong young man and was driven to kill a madman to protect the life of one of the Tecatees. Because violence of any sort was prohibited among these elves, Sasson was banished from the tribe and left to wander the realm alone. Jorn soon met up with a woodsman who taught the elf the art of swordplay and trained him as a ranger.
Fonte Tallman was raised a slave and was taught to serve. He watched as his brothers and sisters, parents and cousins, were beaten or butchered at the apparent whim of the slavers. When Fonte reached adolescence, the slavers noted his strong build and trained him in battle through a long wooden staff. After a year of rigorous training, Fonte was sold as a pit fighter and became well known for his battle prowess and showmanship. A few months later, Fonte orchastrated an uprising among the pit fighters which turned slaves on masters and gave freedom to hundreds of men and women. Since then Fonte has wandered the realm earning barely enough gold to stay fed through use of the only thing he had; physical strength.
Sivus Malzum was a celebrated war hero of the Ice Wars, a series of battles over the waste land now known as The Ice. Sivus lead men through wise battle decisions and a strong arm. His men respected his ability as a leader as well as his prowess as a warrior. He retired from King Fetid's army at the age of thirty-eight, vowing never to fight again. Three years later he found the Guardians. He discovered that the Guardians fought for the betterment of mankind and life in general rather than the advancement on territory in one mans kingdom. Realising that he could potentially make a difference with the Guardians, Sivus let go his anti-violent resolve and joined them.
