Little was known about the lost warriors of Gorken. Many still argued that they were little more than a myth, but they used to say the same thing about the prophecy.
The trouble with searching for something that few believe ever existed is that you have few leads to follow. Most investigations that were done into the whereabouts of these "stone warriors" were based on fairy tales and half remembered legends.
It was for this reason that Delta Sigante had this group remain for an additional day. The fact that this team was detained for another day despite the dire circumstances that relied on immediate action is a testament to the difficulty involved in locating credible sources on the subject.
As it stood, after much research, Delta gathered the group together and informed them that he had two leads that needed looked into. He decided to send one group to the more promising area, East to the foothills of the Escavro Mountains, and sent a second group North to the frozen wasteland known as The Ice.
Because the first group had already been selected, the wizard gave them the option. The Escavro Mountains or The Ice.
The group conferred amongst themselves. Azoun and Jalil seemed certain that the lost warriors of Gorken could be found in the frozen wasteland to the North, while Sivus maintained that in all his years fighting in that land, there was no evidence of any lost civilization or legends of warriors. Cain and Raven, eager to avoid the chill of such terrain, sided with Sivus despite the foul looks directed at them by Duchet. Fonte reasoned that the wizard and priestess are likely to have additional sources of information and are most likely correct, and therefor agreed that the team should head to The Ice.
Sasson Jorn was the only one who hadn't yet made a concrete decision. He considered the matter carefully. Initially, like Fonte, the elf believed that Duchet and Jalil may know something about the area... But Sivus spent some ten years doing battle in the area and would certainly know about it if something like this existed. He chose to meditate on the subject and isolated himself for close to an hour. When he returned he announced that he had made a decision.
