You hand your payment over which the thief takes.
"Okay, let's go holy man." He says and leads you to a nearby sewer grate. You both descend down.
"Well, which way do we go thief?" you demand.
"Good question. WellÂ…IF there is a secret cult hideout down here, I'd guess it would be to the west somewhere. There's a section that was sealed off awhile back due to an undead infestation. Supposedly the city guards cleared it out, but it's still closed off. Some cult could be using that area I suppose. I mean those type are usually raising the dead anyway right?"
The thief's reasoning is logical, and you don't have any other ideas, so you tell him to take you there.
The thief leads you through the sewers. You expect something to attack you on the way, but nothing does, which is surprising considering the thief's constant chatter about nothing you care about is making a lot of noise. You tell him to shut up on several occasions to which he just tells you "lighten up".
Finally the thief stops.
"Okay, there's a semi bricked up wall around the corner, you can probably get through it though, just kick enough of the loose bricks until you make a sizable opening. Hope you find what you're looking for."
"Wait, where do you think you're going?"
"I told you I'd just lead you here, not follow you. That was the deal holy man! I don't know about you, but contrary to popular belief the Guild honors verbal contracts, does the Church?"
