Hall of Infinite Doors

"I met Sigord on the way here," you say, "He told me to tell you that he sent me here to be safe."

The guard stares. "He told me to tell you...no," he squints his eyes and thinks, "He told me to tell him that you said for me to come here?"

"No," you say, exasperated, "I'm TELLING you that he told me to tell you that he told me to come here to be safe! How hard is it for you to understand?"

The guard stares at you blankly. "Oh, what the hell..." the burly guard cups a hand to the side of his mouth and shouts up to the wall. "OPEN THE GATE, WILL YA?"

You grin to yourself as the gate creeks open and you step inside.

The town is quite large, filled with thatch-roof houses and winding dirt roads. Carts pass this way and that, as do people, but the city consists mostly of guards patroling the streets. Many soldiers also patrol the girth of the town on top of the towering walls. Far down the road you can see a small stone Keep on top of a hill.

You sigh and wonder what you're going to do.
