Lost in a Good Book- A Child's Tale

Rebecca was more than happy to return to the library. She had really had a long night. Mom's date had been a total let down. He had stolen one of the neighbor's prized Begonias and tried to play it off as a thought out gift. He was what Marcus called a "Loser." Mom on the other hand had seemed thrilled at the offered flower.

Edward had offered to put it in a vase, but Rebecca had seen him throw it on the floor in the kitchen and stomp it a few times. Mother of course didn't notice, because there was someone more worthy of her attention.

All of that had been last night however, and today was a new day. No one spoke this time on the way to the library. Mother was lost in blissful thought. Marcus was happily ignoring them all to stare out the window. Edward was still sullen, he was always the last to forgive after any argument. He could hold onto his anger a lot better than the bull riders she had seen as a small girl.

The car stopped in front of the library, and Rebecca hopped out. The car had seemed too stuffy today, and she was glad of the open air. She didn't bother to wave to her mother this time, but took off back to her books, and the worlds awaiting her there.
