The neverending story

Crawling down the corridor, on your hands and knees, you come across a few doorways, which you can't find a way to open. So you make your way to the end of the corridor, and presumably to the rear of the ship, to find a small room whose door is already open.
Upon entering it, the door closes behind you, and you can't find the control to open it again.
It seems you're trapped.
Suddenly, five large buttons start glowing on the wall in front of you. Each shows a good quality photograph of an animal.
