The demon scam
You start to run, but Merle fights and protests in your arms. "Let me go..! You're a meanie!"
Not as mean as those demons on your tail though, you think to yourself. You can hear them snarl behind you, and it sounds as if they are gaining on you...
Merle suddenly gets in a good hit in your face, and you lose your balance and fall. Before you have a chance to get up again, one of the hyenas leap at you and scrape your side with it's sharp claws.
You scream in pain, but then the demon gets tossed aside by something or someone that just entered the fight.
