Shemaru

"We should go back to our home base," you tell Stuart. Maybe we could find a way out of the Shemaru Plane, and at least we'll be able to find some food on the way there."

Stuart looks slightly disappointed, but he returns to normal quickly. "I put our group's decision in your hands, and I'll abide by what you said. We'll try to find our way back. Now, which way is back?"

Aldebaran points behind you. "I'm pretty sure it's that way."

"Well, let's hope you're right!" Stuart says jovially as your friends begin to walk past you. "Let's go!"

You tail behind your companions. The walk turns out to be very long, and your home base is nowhere in sight. Nothing you see rings any bells, it's apparent Aldebaran gave the three of you the wrong way.

Two hours after you begin walking you start to hear screaming. The four of you look at each other, and then nod. You cut through the woods trying to find the source of the sound.

You soon find it, erupting from the forest and into a field. A grand battle is going on in front of your eyes. A fight between the enemy team and a giant!

The four of you fall to the ground so as not to be seen. Hopefully the giant would do all the work for you. If he killed all of your enemies, you would be out of the Shemaru Plane in an instant!

The battle certainly begins to swing in the giants favor. He kills all of the enemies except one, and then stamps down on the man's body. As you hear the crunch of his bones, Aldebaran emits a cry of victory.

The giant hears you and looks in your direction. He spots the four of you crouching in the grass and reaches you in a single stride.

"Nice work, dumbass!" Jacob comments as he is killed. The next second his body is on the ground. The giant snatches Aldebaran in his hand and swallows him.

"URGHHH!" the giant groans in pain from an unseen force. He falls to his knees, and then his body collapses. You and Stuart dash out of the way. And enormous flaming arrow sticks out of the giant's back. No bow could have shot that.

"Yes!" the man who you thought was dead cries. "I killed it!" You and Stuart rush over to the man. It is obvious this man was the enemy's beta tester: he's much older than the other bodies strewn across the field and he has an aura of strength about him. But he is nearing death: it looks like he has some broken ribs. He gasps with every breath as the shards of bone poke his lungs.

"Like that bit of magic, did you?" he moans. "Well, don't kill me. Please don't. I know you could win if you do. But I have things I could tell you. Things that could save your lives. There is more going on in the Shemaru Plane than you know."

You glance at Staurt to see what he makes of this. Stuart shakes his head. "Kill him. Kill him now. He's bluffing. Let's get out of here."

You look back to the man to see if you can discern whether he is lying. All he does is smile knowingly at you.

What do you do?
