Shemaru

"Janis," you begin slowly, "I'm sorry, but there was no way you can tell us it was impossible for you to prevent the deaths of our comrades. I'm thinking that if we persist with you we're going to be killed."

"You too?" Janis looks at you weakly. "Well, good luck boys. I do sincerely hope you win. But you won't. They have a beta tester with them. The forest will kill you. Have a nice day."

And with those words, Janis turns away from you and leaves forever, along with those still loyal to him. You are on your own now. No Janis to protect you.

"Well, screw him," Stuart spits at the place Janis had stood. "Well, who do we still have?"

"Jacob Ersing," one boy says, "and he's Aldebaran Yahaz," he adds, pointing at the other.

"Plus him," Stuart says, looking at you. "Well, it'll just be the four of us going up against the whole other team. We won't try to find Janis. He could still prove useful; I'd assume that if he saw the enemy he'd still try to fight them.

"So if we're going after the other team, we're going to have to find them. After blindly following Janis, we're now lost in the woods. They could be anywhere. But in order to end this game, we'll need to beat them."

"Either that or go back to our home base," Jacob corrects him. "The man said if we reached our home base again we'd return to real life."

Stuart considers this for only a moment. "No, that'd be the coward's way out."

But Jacob persists. "Look Stuart, somethin' weird is going on. I'm worried. The virus Janis was talking about, what if that's more serious than it appears? If you remember, we're the first people to ever try this game out! I'm sure the beta testers missed a lot more than they might think."

"Bah! No, we won't be cowards. What do you two say?" Stuart demands, looking at Aldebaran and yourself.

"Hmm? Me?" Aldebaran stutters. "Umm...well, we should definitely try to kill the other team. I want to win this. But then again, if that virus is trouble...then we should try to leave the Shemaru Plane as quick as possible."

"Screw your inability to take a side," Stuart shoots at Aldebaran. "You, what do you think?"

"You seem to like screwing guys a lot, Stuart," you joke at Stuart. You don't like this guy. A bully is an asshole and needs to be dealt with.

"What the hell did you just say to me?" Stuart's eyes glow. "Lemme tell you something...I'm in this for the glory. I want to be remembered as the person who won the first ever Shemaru Plane. This game will be the biggest thing ever. I want to be remembered for what happened to me in it. So now, if you'll just tell me what you think, and with more respect this time, no reason to be mean..."
