Brothers

You get settled in your new room and it doesn't take long before you get settled in your new life. Months pass as you get trained as an infantry machine gunner. Learning everything from gun drills, to mounting a machine gun on a HummVee, to actually driving one. As the months pass you and Jason become close friends. You know what each other says before even it comes out. As the months pass you still keep your family in mind while mailing them home at the very least 25% of your paycheck to help support your family. Rarely a letter comes in the mail updating you on how the family is doing. Michael, still a goofus prankster, writes jokes about dating your the girl you had a crush on.

Your third year in the Marine Corp comes fast and without notice as you get promoted to a Corporal and put in charge of a platoon.

Then it comes. Orders to deploy to the Middle East. Your Platoon commander says that the whole Battalion will be deployed in the Middle East as a Peace keeping mission. But you know carrying loaded guns means that Peace Keeping will be hard to come by.

As war rages out throughout the Middle East you encounter combat situations where you find your platoon being hit hard by mortar shells. You hear through talk throughout the battalion about a convoy of Marines being killed during transport.

Your Platoon Sergeant calls you into the commanders hut where you are advised that you will be in charge of taking a squad of Marines at night into the city Tal Afar. One of the Marines who will be along with you is Jason who is one rank lower than you. The sergeant advice of two extraction points, Alpha which is known to be heavily occupied by Al Qaeda forces. The second extraction point, Bravo is a small city that has been devastated by artillery and unknown if forces occupy.
