Legend
Work for someone else? Yeah right! You're a rogue! You work for number one and that's you! That being the situation, you decide to look for a place to case. You wander the city for a couple days and try to familiarize yourself with the layout as best you can in case you ever have to escape in a hurry. The aristocrat district and the merchant's district are your best bet to pull a job. You've noticed that merchants tend to employ lots of mercenaries to protect their houses. BIG mercenaries. If you get caught, you're going to have a fight on your hands. The aristocracy seems to rely on the City Watch, which patrols their area more. This is typical arrogance of the rich lulling them into a false sense of security. From what you can tell the City Watch is overworked and underpaid, so they probably aren't really enthusiastic, which in turn means they probably aren't doing a good job of protection. Of course who knows what kind of trap security they have in their big houses. Maybe even magical traps, after all they can afford it.
