Just as you're about to land the killing blow, Hector comes barging in the room and sees you lurching over Ludmilla.

"KILL HIM! HE KILLED MY FATHER AND TRIED TO KILL ME WHEN I WALKED IN THE ROOM!" Ludmilla screams and turns on some tears.

Before you can finish, Hector clumsily attacks you, but you easily dodge and throw him on the floor and run out the door and don't stop running. Fortunately you manage to get out of the Palace before a general alarm is raised, but you NEED to get out of the city as quickly as possible.
And so you leave Holgard and make you way back into the wilderness where you started. You realize you're probably a major wanted criminal now. Ludmilla no doubt has fabricated a story and made herself Baroness seeing that she's the only surviving family member. That probably was her goal all along. Still, you can't help wonder if things would've been different if you'd kept your word.
You also realize you probably left some belonging at the Palace too. Any excess gold or objects you were storing at the Palace are now lost. Cross them off. You obviously aren't allowed there anymore.
You can also add Wanted Assassin in Holgard to your profile too. Unless you find some way to clear your name, (Unlikely since you're guilty!) you're going to have to be VERY careful if you ever enter Holgard again.
