You take a deep breath, and concentrate hard especially with all the drum beating going on. You mutter words under your breath and the sky begins to noticeably change. The drums suddenly stop, and the Lizard men begin to panic as sharp ice particles begin to pelt them. The cold air and ice has very bad effect on them. Apparently they think their god has been enraged and they start running around and falling to the ground freezing to death.
You not being cold blooded don't suffer such a bad effect, but the spell was very draining, lose 3 STAMINA points. If you have gloves or a cloak you manage to avoid the worst of the freezing effects, lose 2 more STAMINA points if you don't have either of these items.
You quickly take advantage of the situation and run to pry the gem from the statue. You now have a Blood gem. Before you attempt to leave, you hear cries for help.
"Please! Stranger! Save us and set us free!"
"Yes! Free us!"
It's the captives, they're pleading to you as they now huddle together for warmth.
