The Black Citadel
After a bright flash your eyes need to readjust to the darkness of the night. You're outside again but it's so dark that you need to light your oil lamp. A light snow is falling, and surveying your surroundings you can make out a large clearing. It looks like you're back in Darkwood once again. There are two L-shaped poles with empty cages suspended from chains. To the side of the cages you make out a middle-aged bearded man lying in the snow. There is blood around him on the snow and he is holding his leg in pain. You both go over to him.
"Who are you man?" Vandil says.
"Oh, you're human oh please help me. I was attacked a couple of hours ago by some women terrible they were, witches!"
"What are you doing travelling though Darkwood at night, are you crazy?" you ask him.
"I me and my daughter lost our way. Oh, I'm a fool, It's my fault. I wanted to take a short cut and now, my daughter, my poor daughter."
"What happened to you, where's your daughter?" you ask him.
"There were three of them and I was stabbed in the leg with a spear. My daughter Teil was taken away she was screaming and crying and they took her off down there," he says pointing to over to a path to the east exiting the clearing. "Please help me, can you find my daughter Teil? I have some gold coins that I can give you if you bring her back to me. Those witches took everything I had apart from my secret stash."
What should you do?
