Everything Went Dark

Jack felt awful, but what else could he do? Jennan wasn't moving, Addie was trying to hide under the podium, and Jordan was being led to the guillotine. He couldn't save anyone without being killed himself. He jumped off the podium and sprinted through the crowds, pushing people out of his way. Backup guards hadn't arrived yet, so he could just keep running. And running. And running. And, believe it or not, running. Jack had gotten out of the area he was in and ended up in a small town. He climbed a tree so he can stay out of view and get a better look at his surroundings. The castle was huge. Like, wow. No wonder they rented rooms out to people. Jack wanted to look around more, but he fell asleep.

Then he woke up. It was many hours later, but it was pitch black outside. He needed to move, people would be searching for him soon. Which direction should he go?
