The Dragon's Final Rage
At the end of the day, they are both very tired and hungry. "Do you want to stop arguing and get something to eat?" asks Jon. "Why yes," says the lizard. "What do you like to eat?" asks Jon. "Bugs, mostly," answers the lizard. "What was your name again?" asks Jon. "I never told you," says the lizard. "Besides, you already know my name, deep inside your heart." "I do?" asks Jon. "Yes," answers the lizard. You must search your heart, where you can feel the truth. Try it." "You are a dragon, one of the last of the dragons of legend," begins Jon. "Yes," whispers the dragon, "Go on. . ." "Your name. . .your name is Jaques?" says Jon. "Bravo!" says dragon. "You knew it all along. Now you must tell me your name." "What, you don't know it in your heart?" says Jon, jokingly. "Very funny," says Jaques. "Perhaps I could persuade you to tell me. . ." Jaques exhales and flames pour from his mouth, burning to a crisp a small patch of grass just beside Jon's feet. "Whoa!" exclaims Jon. "Okay, okay, I'll tell you. I am Jon." "You are a knight?" asks the dragon. "Yes." answers Jon. "Pleased to meet you," says Jaques. "Likewise," says Jon.
