Strangely Forgotten

A woman wearing a white suit walks in, a clipboard tucked stiffly in her right hand. She looks up, and notices your wide, confused eyes, but shows no emotion on her face. In fact, she may be the most stoic person you've ever seen, but I guess you can't know this for sure, as you can't remember anything. It's strange though, your memory, for you seem to be able to remember words and places. You can imagine the incredible lights of New York City and picture the calm rocking of a boat on the sea, but you cannot remember if you've ever been on a boat. You cannot remember if you've ever been in New York.
The woman walks closer, sitting in a white chair next to your bed that you hadn't noticed before.
"I have quite a lot to discuss with you before your visitors can come in, so pay attention," she looks down at her clipboard, and seems to read off of some paper she has in front of her, "You probably are unaware as of what is happening, as you've just survived an incident in which you suffered a near-death experience, and have a significant case of memory loss. I am here to give you information on yourself, so you may try to grasp who you used to be, and aren't surprised by the outside world." Her words confuse you, but you aren't sure what you'd say anyways, so you stay silent and listen. She continues, "You are a person of age 17 who used to go by the name of..."
