And All Things Will End

Together the two of you wind quckly through the streets, moving until you no longer hear footfalls that are not your own. Aela does not know where she is going, but tries her best to hide this fact.

"We have to get out of here.". She says, more to herself than you. You respond in the affirmative, uncertain of why this needed to be said.

"It shouldn't be that hard..we just walk in the direction opposite the mountains. Then we get back through the forest and find our way back to civilization." she continues hurriedly. You speculate on why she expects the creatures to not follow you out of the village, but think better of voicing your concerns at this time.

What was in theory a relatively simple task soon proves to be anything but; before long you are hopelessly lost. The surrounding black taunts you, offering up paths that look just unique enough to make one think "Yes, this certainly is the right way!" only for it to reveal with silent laughter that you have been going in circles. Aela is becoming increasingly panicked.

"How is this happening? I've been walking streets at night all my life, and never had a problem navigating before. It's like there's a fog in my brain, forcing my thoughts to travel through its grey depths in order for them to reach through to the consciousness." She muses as you walk down a narrow street. You look to your left; you've seen that building twice before, from different angles.

Desperation strikes suddenly. Panic and fear ripple up from below.
