The Paradox Factor

"So, what would you use for the first test?", Scott says as he takes a large bite out of his hamburger.

"You're a pig.", Terry says to him, watching the grease and toppings run off Scott's face.

"But, he's a smart pig. Best little mathematician I've ever met, eh, buddy?", you say to Scott who smiles through his burger.

"Okay, first test?", says Terry, thinking. "Something easy. Obviously not a human experiment. A rat, or chimp maybe. We'd give the suggestion to, say, take blue thread out of a bag and place it in the black box."

You nod. "That should be safe enough to not cause a paradox, the paradox factor would be low. When we looked in, we'd know that the animal must have moved the string before we had taught it to move the certain colour. That should work nicely."

"So we give the hypnotic suggestion to 'move the blue string'. Neat.", Scott mumbles through his full mouth.
