Gotham's Story
It has been years since Bane broke you. You've been resigned to a wheelchair and the once powerful muscles in your legs have atrophied to less than the width of Alfred's. It seems that Alfred is the only one to have remained in Gotham with you. Robin left to Bludhaven, finding his own crusade under the new name of Nightwing. Batgirl (who you deduced to be Barbara Gordon, the Commissioner's daughter) has also left, but that was no surprise. You never officially let her into your team. Even Commissioner Gordon is gone; he took an early retirement and moved to Metropolis. Gotham was too much to handle on his own.
You spend most of your time in the Batcave now. Admittedly, much of your time is spent reliving the action and excitement of being a vigilante. Sometimes, though, you work at the computer. You use the resources you accrued in your double life to monitor the streets and offer anonymous tips to the police, but it is not enough. Crime rates are back up and you are trapped in this chair. You slam your fists on your armrests and startle Alfred who has just come into the room.
"What is the matter, Master Bruce?" He asks as he repositions the tray of food that he had brought.
"I'm useless, Alfred."
"Master Bruce-"
"It's true and you know it. I knew of only one way to defend Gotham from these menaces and Bane robbed me of that. Now I have this secret identity but I'm doing nothing with it."
You turn to look Alfred in the eye.
"What do I do?"
