Hall of Infinite Doors
You know they will find you if you stay put, so you jump up as fast as you can a race off. The giants see and pursue you instantly. You pump your legs and bolt across the wasteland as fast as you can go, but the giants are gaining on you very quickly. They are just behind you when you make the the only choice you can. You jump.
Falling down the chasm, you try your best to grasp onto the small cracks and parts sticking out of the rock wall, but you are moving to fast to get a firm hold. Then, to your greatest astonishment, you hit a small ledge and manage to keep yourself from rolling off. You only fell a small ways, so you don't feel badly hurt, but your hands are all cut and bloodied from trying to hold onto the wall.
"Hey you!"
You look up. The two giants are standing, leaning over the edge, and are looking directly at you. They are not far enough for you to feel comfortable.
"Get back up here!"
"I can't!" you shout upwards.
The larger giant turns and smacks the smaller one on the head. "Meeshoc, you idiot! You let him get away from you!"
"Ow!" Meeshoc holds his head in pain, then throws a punch towards the other giant's chest.
"Oaf!" the larger giant is knocked backwards but manages to stay on his feet.
"You want me to throw you over to join him?" The large giant growls threateningly.
Meeshoc looks over the edge and growls, "A tasty human so close, and yet we cannot reach him."
"If you caught him, we would be eating the best meat we've had this month!" The large giant roars angrily.
"What would get you to come back up here, little man?" Meeshoc calls down to you.
You notice a faint glow deep down in the darkness of the chasm. You think of how to get away from the giants.
