Rentyre

You set the duffel bag on the kitchen table, and retrieve the newspaper from outside. The first thing you should look for is a new apartment. You search through the classified, and eventually find a nice one room apartment that doesn't ask for a large down payment, and won't ask for rent until the end of the month. It sounds perfect, and so you head out.

Even though you're taking some of Reggie's food and clothing, you draw the line at stealing his car. Instead, you take the bus, using loose change you find under Reggie's couch. You stop off at a loan center on the way so you can afford the down payment, and walk the rest of the way.

You've only got your Rentyre I.D. as proof of identity, but you make up a story about how your real body is in Atlanta. You tell them that you're moving here soon, so you Rentyred with your good friend Reggie so that when you do arrive, you'll already have a house. They buy it, and give you the paperwork. Fifteen minutes later, you're the proud owner of an apartment.

A very crappy apartment. The walls are cracking along the seams, and the carpet is coming up in a few of the corners. Still, it's cheap, and it'll do for now.

The next thing you're going to have to do is claim Reggie's body as your own. You can't assume his identity, so a driver's license with his name on it is worthless to you. And it's not like you can just tell the DMV "Hey, I'd like a new driver's license, but if you could change the name on it, that'd be great, because this body has a new owner." There may not be any laws against body stealing, but they're not going to make it easier for you, either.

Once again, your Rentyre I.D. comes to the rescue. This time, luck chimes in by making the clerk an absolute moron. Since you need a birth certificate to own a Rentyre I.D., you manage to talk her into accepting it as proof of identity. You tell her you lost your old license, but you'd like for her to take your picture again, instead of reprinting your old license. She does, and Gunther Nantucket now has a new body, complete with legal identification.

Now that you can legally identify your name with the body you now own, you can finally get a job!
