Paul's Kingdom

You reach the fork and make a right, in the direction of the bridge. It's taken you fifteen minutes to get here, and you know it'll take the same amount to get to the bridge.

"You do know," Q'iol points out, "that we'll have to take the same way back, taking the same amount of time? This was a dumb choice."

"No, it was the right choice." Vero is quite adamant in his caution.

"Shut up," Restuit, yet again, is the middle voice. "Please, let's just get to the Yuras as soon as possible."

"It's going to be dark soon," Vero observes. "We should make haste."

And so you pick up the pace and reach the bridge in twelve minutes. You're happy to see that the bridge is still intact, another lost bridge would've been disasterous to your kingdom.

You cross the bridge safely and follow the bank back downstream. A few minutes later you enter into the forest, crossing into the Yuran homelands. Fortunately, the twilight will give you the cover you need to avoid the Yuran scouts.

"Get ready to fight," you say as you draw your staff. A mere twenty yards ahead of you lies a Yura. He is sleeping soundly. You kill him with a sharp blow to the skull.

You move on to the Yuran central village. You viciously kill them all. Finally, the threat of the Yuras to your Kingdom has been extinguished.

However, the amount of light is now a disadvantage. It's almost fully dark now and you have to get home to your warm bed. But that bed is over a half-hour away.

"Well, that's all of them," Vero grins. "What now, my lord? Will we camp here for tonight?"

You know it's risky to sleep in the forest without a bag or a tent, but you've done it before (albeit in the summer with your brother). However, you admit, it'd be just as risky to go home in the darkness. What if you trip over a branch or a stone and twist your ankle, and then can't go home at all?
