The demon scam
You nod slowly. "I see... Perhaps we should stay here and rest for a while, if you think it is safe enough?"
Naria nods, looking rather worried. "Yeah, you go ahead and sleep. I will keep watch."
You give a pale smile and lay down. "Thank you." Within seconds you slip into a well-needed sleep.
You have no idea how much time has passed when you wake up next time, but you find Naria still watching over you. "Hey there..." she say with a little grin. "Feeling any better?"
You return the smile and sit up. "Yes. But we have to keep moving now. We've lost a lot of time." She nods and stands and you start walking off together again.
Suddenly, you hear a familiar vioce singing happily up ahead. Merle!? Feeling dizzy with relief, you run towards the sound to find her sitting on the ground, playing with small blue rocks.
