The demon scam
With your dagger raised, you leap into the battle to help, encouraged by the reinforcements.
Now you see that it is a young female cat-demon with long black hair and fuzzy ears and a tail that whips about as the easily fights off the hyenas.
One of the hyenas snarl and go after you, and you try to dig your dagger into it, but the beast is too quick and you are too weak... It hurls itself over you and scrapes your side with it's sharp claws before you manage to kill it off.
You lift your head, feeling sick from the the pain in your wound, to see the cat-demon chase off the last of the hyenas. Then she turns to look at you with a little smirk. "Hey there, cutie," she says. "Having fun, are you?"
Off course, she thinks that you are a demon, and a wound like this is like a scratch to them.
