Revenge
Stepping just outside the door of your living quarters, you catch the attention of one of the guards standing outside.
"Bring me the messenger," you order, keeping your face from showing any kind of emotions. You know that the guard will understand just who you mean - no other messenger has shown up in this time.
The armoured guard nods to show that he understands, and then walks away, leaving the other two guards outside your quarters.
You step back inside your quarters, seating yourself on one of the chairs to wait.
It doesn't take long for the guard to bring the messenger in. His weapon is taken away, and then the guard closes the door softly, taking up position against the wall.
You raise your eyebrows at the man. "Do you have any more information for me?" you question, keeping your voice level.
The messenger bows his head slightly, and replies, his tone neutral, calm, "I have told you everything that I know."
You place your fingertips on your chin, and study the messenger. "Wouldn't the Battousai have noticed you watching him? Maybe he has even discovered your whereabouts here?"
The messenger quickly shakes his head. "I made sure that I wasn't followed, and I *do* know how to prevent myself from being seen," he insists. However, there's a strange look in his eyes, almost as though he's hiding something. His eyes are veiled.
Do you believe him?
