The protesters start complaining. "What's that got to do with anything?!" you hear one shout.

You've caught them off guard with your non-sequitir. Now, you start to hit them with both barrels. "We have become a nation which demands instant results. Instant popcorn, instant meals, everything is instant gratification." Your speech isn't very political, but it does seem to be making them think. It's sure not what they expected.
