Legend
The cult leader falls with the hood on his robe finally uncovering the rest of his face. You were expecting some wild eyed, perhaps even deformed individual, but instead this man looks like a member of the aristocracy. You search his body and find a letter. The letter states that the Baron will be assassinated during the rebellion and if all goes well, that Holgard will be in their control by the end of the day. It's not signed by the person who wrote it, but this letter IS addressed to "Dearest Reginald". Meaning that you've just killed him, and who do you know who's spoken fondly of a "Reginald" in the past?
You take the letter with you. You may also take Reginald's Vorpal Sword. It work just like a regular sword except if you score a double 6 in physical combat (Regardless of if you win the round) you'll kill your opponent instantly.
You leave this hideout and quickly make your way back to the Palace, the rest of the soldiers are still mopping up resistance, there's no time to get back up, you can only hope the guards there were able to protect the Baron. When you arrive the front gate is open with no guard posted. Not a good sign. The inside is eerily quiet. For all you know the Baron's already dead. What's weirder is there are no signs of combat either, if there was an assassination attempt, you'd at least expect to see bodies on the floor, but you haven't seen anyone yet. You're about to enter the throne room until you hear a voice come from another room from across the hall. It's Ludmilla and she's armed with sword.
"Nobody's in there! Everyone who's still alive is in the dungeon! Come in here and get out of the hallway, before a demon finds you!"
You run into the room where Ludmilla is and show her the letter you found and then ask what's going on.
"Farad summoned demons here that's what! Everyone knew his ambition, but nobody thought he'd go to this length of allying himself with otherworldly creatures! I don't have time to explain what happened exactly, but it was quick. The creatures he summoned didn't even have to use their claws or fangs; they just emitted some sort of rays from their hands and disintegrated everyone who attacked them!"
Well that explains why you haven't seen any bodies.
"He's got regular followers here helping as well, but most of them are down in the dungeon with him, along with my father and others he's taken prisoner. I don't know what he's up to exactly. My guess is some sort of ritualized murder to whatever dark god he's allied himself with. Why else wouldn't he have just had my father killed? There are certainly easier and less noisy ways to go about taking over. We can't let my brother get away with this, we have to go and help now!"
"How am I supposed to do that? I mean you just said he's got demons that can disintegrate people as well as normal followers! I'm severely out numbered here!"
"You don't give yourself enough credit; you've just successfully put down part of a rebellion, now its time to finish the job. Besides, I'll be with you. Don't be fooled by my appearance, I'm fully capable of defending myself when I need to! I can easily handle any human followers my brother has employed, but only a big strong adventurer like YOU can handle creatures like the demons."
She emphasizes this point by rubbing her hands up and down your chest for a bit. You almost want to respond in kind, but you really should focus on the matters at hand. Might as well do it, there's not really any time to get reinforcements anyway.
Ludmilla suggests that you could go two different ways to the dungeon, either the direct route (But Ludmilla really doesn't advise that) or you could go through a secret passage that she knows of.
