You begin following the path East toward Theopolis. You're not sure what to think of this "Archangel" gig Fred gave you, but at least you've gone a day without getting killed.

As you debate with yourself the fruits of this position on the way down the path, the forest clears a bit to your righthand side, affording a view down a steep incline at the end of which the forest continues out some before the largest clearing of green grass you've ever seen all at once. Slight grassy hills surround the huge clearing, in the midst of which you see a glorious city (which the path you're on seems to eventually lead to). The city seems almost to be made of white iron, with tall towers affixed with crystal spires reaching into the heavens all around it. The white iron walls seem much too high, but then again, you didn't design the city, of which you honestly can't see very much of, as the magnificent walls hide what may be on the other side. Every so many feet along the walls, you see thick crimson banners hanging, waving in the slight breeze - and even from this great a distance, you can tell the banners' edges are gilded. Such pristine beauty outside must hide wonderful dwellings within, perhaps even glorious royalty, but DEFINITELY large amounts of treasure! Then again, maybe you would only stick out in a big city like that - after all, you don't speak the language.

It is then that you are approached on the path by three men on armored-horseback, each dressed in half plate armor and musketeer-type hats, and each bearing a different crest upon his shield. Were it not for those facts, you would have mistaken them for royal guards; that is, assuming Blueite royal guards outfit themselves that way. You remind yourself to try to think outside the box, as it were.

"Hoeeah, reepah!" calls the rider with long dark hair and a trim goatee. "Hahjah seeah jessah foolah yopat diswayee?" Realizing he's just asked you a question (and he has reinforcements), you begin to think that perhaps the language barrier on Blue might be more than you're willing to endure. You quickly decide to read his mind and discover that these three men are looking for something, or someone. Royalty? Wealth? Vagrants or theives? You're pretty sure which category you think you'd fall into. Besides, you can't tell what they're after because all three's minds are starting now to forget what they came to do and are intently focusing on you. You can even read in the mind of the one with the long blonde hair and beard that he is pre-thinking moves to disable or kill you! These are definitely seasoned warriors of some type, and not to be trifled with.

"Heeelloah, peesahn!" the one with the long dark hair and the mussed goatee goads you. They're obviously tired of waiting for your answer. You begin thinking that you COULD control their minds and head on to the white iron city, but should you have them taking you as a mock prisoner, or should they be escorting you as a royal find? Considering your lack of info about why they're here, either way has the potential to make them look ridiculous and get YOU killed.

Then of course, you could always make them think they're chickens long enough to make a hasty retreat back to the fork in the road.

What will you do?
