As you follow the path Northeast, you happen across a couple of shorter, blonde men engaged in a lively repartee. The one seemingly at a loss for wit is a large, roundly oafish fellow with a simple look to him. The one seeming to dominate the conversation is a thin, wiry man whose caustic barbs you happen to overhear before they both spot you. "The thin one looks smarmy," you can't help but think. Of course, he's the first one to speak...

"Hello, stranger! Perhaps you can help us..." Before you can even assent, he continues. "I was just telling Tons-of-fun here that I'm sure we were car parts salesmen in another life - whatever that is, of course. You see, I had this dream, and it was so REAL, but Baby Huey here just can't seem to catch up with me intellectually. What do you make of it, reaper?" His comment makes you a little self-aware of your clothing, but you don't mind TOO much.

"Uh, I... um... don't quite know." It's then that you recognize them - they're a famous comedy pair on Earth, one of which had been assumed dead for years now and the latter of which must have just arrived and is still having trouble clearing the Earthen cobwebs out of his head. Nevertheless, you don't want to blow your cover. You can't help wondering what Fred has them thinking their names are...

"So, who are you gents?" you ask, half-smirking.

"I'm David the Court Jester from Theopolis and this lard-ass's name is Chris, Theopolis's unofficial village idiot. I had to come find him again because he wanders off every now and then. I'm thinking of making him an Assistant Fool, but I haven't decided yet."

"Now you listen to me, half-pint!" Chris pipes up. "I've told you before, and I'll tell you again: You're not going to amount... to JACK SQUAT!!" It is then that you notice Chris speaks with a half-drunken slur. Perhaps he's also the town drunk.

You start to think to yourself that perhaps these men could get you in good with the ruler of Theopolis, or at least a high-ranking potentate - if you play along and make nice. Then again, he who is seen in the company of fools may be thought one himself.

What will you do?
