The Ninja Epidemic

You step to the side while the ninja lunges forward with his sais, shooting out of the closet like some sort of deranged jack-in-the-box. He lands in a roll that brings him to his feet and he spins about to face you, sais held dangerously before him.

He seems ready to strike but remains poised and patient. He is waiting for you to make your move. What move do you make?
