Legend
You liked to study how things were build and made, your father's blacksmith shop gave you a perfect opportunity to do just that, but you always felt things could be improved upon. You father doesn't quite know what to make of it, he's glad you're ingenious, but he thinks a lot of your ideas are just plain WEIRD. Your mother thinks you spend too much time tinkering and should settle down with a girl.
You start out with a war hammer since you feel any solution can be fixed with a hammer. You also start with wearing leather armor.
You've created a powerful, but unstable device called a "Brimstone Thrower". Unless stated otherwise, at the beginning of any combat you may fire this once. If you win the combat roll, you may subtract 6 STAMINA points and 2 SKILL points from the enemy. (If it's a MIND combat, they just lose 6 STAMINA) If you lose the enemy does 3 STAMINA points of damage to you. Losing and rolling doubles means it exploded and you lose 6 STAMINA points and 2 SKILL points instead. (And you lose the device) In any case you fight as normal for the rest of the combat.
The Brimstone Thrower counts as a weapon.
Your alignment is 0
You have 5 rations
You have 10 gold pieces
There is also another technological weapon called a Firebomb that you may obtain later during your adventure. These are a kind of grenade like weapon that will be carried in your backpack. If you ever obtain one, before a battle starts you may throw one at the enemy. If you win the combat roll, you may subtract 5 STAMINA points and 1 SKILL point from the enemy. This includes all of them if there's more than one attacking. If you lose, it doesn't go off and the enemy does 3 STAMINA points of damage to you. Losing and rolling doubles means you dropped it and it explodes by you and you lose 5 STAMINA and 1 SKILL instead.
In either case the firebomb is lost after being used.
The technologist is another one without any readily apparent special abilities. He relies mainly on his raw stats as well. This is due mainly because his ideas are still pretty weird for the world. In a world of Gods and Magic, technology hasn't been widely embraced. This has drawbacks, but also hidden advantages. Some things that might adversely affect any other class will have a lesser effect or none at all on a technologist. The best thing he can do is take advantage of technological devices when he can.
